Working in our nursing division
Our nursing division is the most fast-paced out of all our divisions. We often refer to nursing recruitment as “fastest finger first” where our teams are expected to fill thousands of locum nursing jobs every day, and our international nursing teams deploying over 1,200 permanent nurses into the NHS and private sectors each year.
How we work
Due to the high expectations from our nursing teams, our staff have the flexibility to work days and hours that suit them. For example, some of our staff occasionally prefer to work on a Saturday instead of a Friday if candidates are easier to reach over the weekend, or start their work days really early and finish earlier. We have full-time opportunities available in the team, and also part-time opportunities within our Out of Hours team that are available to support our nursing clients and candidates between 6pm and 7am. We’re also flexible in the ways that we work, with some of our staff choosing to work from home, and others preferring to work from our offices.
If you join our international nursing team, you will work with our partner agents in countries such as India, Malaysia, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and South Africa to help source nurses for our clients – conducting around 200-300 virtual candidate interviews each month.
Developing your skills
When you join the nursing division, we’ll provide you with six months’ training to give you enough time to build confidence, learn how our systems work and to understand our processes, so that you’re prepared to deliver an exceptional service to our clients and candidates.
To thrive in this division, you would need certain soft skills that include great communication skills, negotiation skills, the ability to be proactive in your approach, creative thinking and good relationship-building skills.
Career advancement opportunities
At Medacs we’ve created robust career pathways that are designed to give you greater control over your development and provide you flexibility in your chosen career journey.
